...can cause crimes?
After his daughter (or sister or wife or girlfriend) is the latest victim of a string of robberies/burglaries that is baffling the police, a reporter talks with all his informants in order to know what is behind the weird crime spree that has started a few days before.
A specific group of women is being targeted by all kind of criminals: some are polite with their victims while others are crudel and mean, some are very professional while others are obviously amateurs...
After a lot of digging his last informant tells him what is behind the crime spree, a rumor that link something (like a missing loot of a criminal, or the numbers of a Swiss bank account of a dead CEO or...) to that group of women (that were at the same college more or less at the same time, or that shops at the same mall, or went to the same restaurant in the same week...), and that something is good/valuable enough to start the 'rush' in the criminal community.
So... how can the reporter kills that 'rumor' before another female meber of his family (that also fits in the category of targets) becomes another victim of it?
