In a small town somewhere in UK the police has been repeatedly humiliated by a burglar for the past 15 years.
Every year, at a specific date that is not a religious/national/historical date, he or she invades a house in the town and steals something.
Not all of the burglaries ended up with the homeowner (and somebody else) B&G, but there were more than five victims that also suffered that along the way.
A young constable, after thorougly analizing the whole case (which is sort of a prank for rookies at the local police) suddenly discovers a clue, that the other officers had not seen, that leads to the identity of the burglar and its next victim.
But every other rookie that passed through the prank fell in for the 'false lead' left in the files by their seniors officers, which was NOT her case.
So here she is now, alone and powerless (B&G), and having to deal with the burglar (who obviously doesn't want that his/her identity is exposed) while the whole force in the area is waiting for her at the place she was supposed to go thanks to the 'clue', which is in the other side of the town...
