Imagine a small museum somewhere, USA or UK or Europe or..., there's these two guys who work there and they are not the brightest ones. One day they are working on the storage deposit of the museum and accidentally one of them breaks a vase or a statue, that nobody ever gave too much importance to it but its very old anyway, and what they find amidst the debris? A treasure map.
So these two guys, who aren't criminals, decide that they will go look for that treasure. Problem is that the place where the treausre is buried is now occupied by a farm, or a house in the outskirts of a town, and since they don't want to share the treasure with no one else, they will have to deal with the widow and her daughters that live there...
Yes, the idea is to make something like 'Abbot & Costello' becomes criminals... but of course it's up to you to make a comedy/crime story or not.
