What about an anti-Madame-X character. Instead of kidnapping people, she goes about rescuing them...so if Madame X or the China Doll Gang were to attempt a crime, and this character knew about it, she would swoop in to turn the tables. Perhaps then, Madame X might go about turning the tables on this mysterious heroine.
